I'm writing a short story. I'm learning how to write short stories. These come in no particular order.

I think sometimes I try to be so eloquent that my prose becomes molasses-like.

Say you'll come and set me free,
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

An Indian pastor and his family were forced from their home, which doubled as a local place of worship, by a group of Hindus. Since then, it's been desecrated and turned into a Hindu temple.

Remember them. Pray and fast for them.

If one member suffers, all suffer together.

Zimbabwe:

In reading my hard copy of Operation World this morning, I discovered that one in four Zimbabweans has AIDS. It was ubelievable to see the UN-projected population by 2025, but then see that they didn't factor in the realistic death rate of AIDS victims. The population was around 11.6 million in 2000, and projected to be 15 million by 2025. But with one in four Zimbabweans afflicted with AIDS, a more realistic projection for 2025 is 9 million. That's 6 million people claimed by AIDS.

Over half the population (around 6 million) is under 15 years old, and one million of those are orphans.

How blessed is he who considers the helpless;
The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble.

(Psalm 41:1)

I've been tagged by Jenny for this gay xanga thing. So here goes.

5 Unusual things about myself:

1. I read constantly, tons of books, but almost never finish one.

2. I have loved 3 women who were impossibly far away. One in Missouri, another in Georgia, and most ridiculous of all...Switzerland. (she was from America, though. So no, I didn't find her on HotorNot).

3. I used to hate anything having to do with Calvinism, then became a staunch five-pointer, and now am somewhere in the middle.

4. I used to think I was a theologian. (see item 3)

5. I am a heterosexual male, but love Enya's music. You figure it out.
